About me
Creative thinking is key to everything I do, whether exploring personal projects, designing and building a brand or helping people find a better way of working.
A multi-disciplinary creative with broad range of interests and skills coupled with a strong non-verbal reasoning.
I initially trained in Visual Studies at NUCA, where the emphasis was to develop and hone an individuals creativity, then put that within a creative process in order to develop the self-reliance and skills to realise concepts across any discipline. This process took me on a journey from Drawing, Photography/Video and Light Installations, through to Design and associated digital technologies - learning to code in the process.
For over 20 years I have been designing creative digital projects within a commercial environment, passionate to explore the boundaries between creativity and user-centred design. My BA (Hons) degree enabled me to approach web design using this background, resolving conceptual and practical design issues from a unique perspective not always found within a more technical environment. I have worked with international, national and local clients and brands across a broad range of sectors (Education, Fintech, Retail , Zoos/Animal Welfare - B2C and B2B). I have always endeavoured to provide bespoke solutions that are not only accessible, but also the most suitable for the client – strengthening or redesigning their identity, increasing brand awareness and profitability. My main passion is UX and Web Design and front-end build, but I am exceedingly adaptable and versatile with a lot of experience in Print and offline media.
Throughout my design career, I have never lost my passion for my personal creative expression, always drawing, photographing or building - always exploring concepts and processes within any discipline or subject, In fact, this creativity is the core of who I am and it is essential and feeds into all areas including my design work/career.
Recently my passion for wildlife and the natural world led to re-kindle my interest in Wildlife Photography and Natural History Illustration.
